Funeral services for Timothy McAllister, 65, of Mt. Airy, were held Tuesday, Sept. 10, at Hillside Memorial Chapel. Mr. Joey Martin officiated with interment following the service in Hillside Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. McAllister passed away Saturday, Sept. 7, 2019.
Born June 24, 1954, in Stephens County, Mr. McAllister was the son of the late Cleo Dock and Margaret Lynn Carthern McAllister. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother, James Dock McAllister; and sister Naomi McAllister Skelton.
After high school, Tim enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. After his honorable discharge, Tim graduated from Spartan College in North Carolina with a degree in X-Ray Technology. He was an X-Ray technician and had retired from Northeast Georgia Medical Center. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to fish. Tim enjoyed NASCAR, classic cars, riding motorcycles and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Anny McAllister of Mt. Airy; son, Samuel Dock McAllister of Mt. Airy; sister and brother-in-law, Judy M. and Winston Jones of Demorest; sister-in-law, Adermis McAllister of Demorest; as well as three nieces and one nephew.
