Albert A. ‘Alb’ Coley

Funeral services for Albert A. “Alb” Coley, 82, of Alto, were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 1, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, with the Rev. Anthony Shore officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Coley died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012.

Born May 17, 1930, in Habersham County, he was the son of the late Charlie and Ola Cook Coley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Richard and Billy Coley; sisters, Hazel Jones and Ruth Shore; and brothers, Haskell and Edison Coley.

Mr. Coley was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Alto. He was a retired truck driver for Tugalo Construction Company with 25 years of service.

Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Jo Nell Crane Coley of Alto, daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Wendell Norton of Alto; son and daughter-in-law, Donnie and Paulette Coley of Baldwin; sons, Kenneth Coley of Lula, and Ronnie “Shorty” Coley of Alto; brother, the Rev. Corbin Coley of Alto; 10 grandchildren;, and 13 great-grandchildren.
