Miss Schick died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Born Aug. 4, 1934, in Williamsport, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Earl W. and Anna Maurer Schick.
Miss Schick served in the medical profession with several facilities. She was a medical technology instructor at North Georgia Technical College and the chief technologist at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. Miss Schick also worked at Habersham Medical Center and Ethicon. She was a member of the Georgia Society of Medical Technologists, having served as a president. Miss Schick was on the Circle of Hope Board of Directors and was an active member of the Habersham County Humane Society. She was a true advocate for humane treatment of animals. Miss Schick was a member of Grace-Calvary Episcopal Church.
Survivors include her brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Pat Schick of Lee Summit, Mo.; cousin, Elizabeth Remsenyder of Mifflinburg, Pa.; and a host of friends, and of course her many four-legged friends that she loved dearly.
