Mrs. Ferguson died Thursday, July 18, 2013, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Born Sept. 18, 1950, in Mobile, Ala., she was a daughter of the late Douglas Mims (Doug) and Alla Darcey Richard.
Mrs. Ferguson lived and was raised in the Atlanta area. After relocating to Norcross, she moved to Alto in 1997 with her husband, Lynn. She was retired from the medical billing and coding industry, with 20 years of service. She also was the owner and operator of Mail Boxes Etc. in Cornelia for six years and was employed with The Northeast Georgian’s advertising department before enjoying early retirement in 2005.
Surviving are her husband of 30 years, Charles Lynn Ferguson of Alto; daughter and son-in-law, Samantha Lynn and Scott Entrekin of Dallas; daughter, Bonnie Beckman of Nashville, Tenn.; granddaughter and spouse, Amanda June and Jonathan McCombs of Cartersville; grandchildren, William and Stephen Hagan, both of Nashville, Tenn., and Christine Kaufman of Marietta; sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Ret. Maj. Jim Jarvis of Barton, Vt.; and niece and nephew, Erin and Paul.
