Funeral services for Deborah Ayers Ramey, 57, of Demorest, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, at the chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home with the Rev. Shane Jenkins and Dr. Earl Fowlks officiating. Burial followed in Welcome Home Baptist Church cemetery.

Mrs. Ramey died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Born June 6, 1955, in Habersham County, she was a daughter of the late Will and Mary Etta Addison Ayers. In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by her husband, Dwayne Ramey, and two sisters.

Mrs. Ramey was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed singing in the church choir and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors are her son, Richard Pierce of Toccoa; son and daughter-in-law, Joshua and Christy Oliver of Alto; brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Trudy Ayers and Thomas and Wanda Ayers, all of Mt. Airy; grandchildren, Jacob, Spencer, Gavin, Ansley and Trinity; two nieces and two nephews.
