Funeral services for Evelyn Brown Church, 90, of Clarkesville, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, at Clarkesville Baptist Church with the Rev. David Turner, Mary Turner and the Rev. Grady Walden officiating. Burial followed in Yonah Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Church died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, in Greenville, S.C.

Born Sept. 22, 1922, in Clermont, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Ruben and Emma Spiva Brown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Church; brothers, Joe, J.W., Kermit and John D.; sisters, Louise Beasley, Blanche Rosser and Robbie Brown; half-sisters, Lily Jane Bullock and Bonnie Cochran.

Evelyn was a member of Clarkesville Baptist Church. She was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker. Evelyn will be missed deeply and remembered forever.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Paula Church of Greenville, S.C.; and three grandchildren, Emma Church, Taylor Church and Daisy Church.
