Graveside services for Frances Timberlake Crosby, 86, of Clarkesville, were held at 4 p.m. Sunday, May 18, at Yonah Memorial Gardens, Demorest, with the Rev. James Turpen Sr. and the Rev. Brian Butler officiating.

Mrs. Crosby died Thursday, May 15, 2014.

Born March 4, 1928, in Florence, Ala., she was a daughter of the late Lewis Timberlake and Gertrude Timberlake O’Steen. She was also preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Oscar David Crosby. He was a retired minister from Clarkesville First United Methodist Church and was a member of North Georgia Methodist Conference.

Mrs. Crosby was a loving, dedicated and loyal minister’s wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Catherine Crosby Pierce and Paul A. Pierce; sisters-in-law, Martha “Tittoo” Timberlake, Betty Crosby; brother, Lewis Timberlake; granddaughter, Courtney Elizabeth Pierce; and numerous nieces and nephews.
