Funeral services for Hazel Foster, 82, of Alto, are scheduled for 2 p.m. today, May 30, at the chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home with the Rev. Sanford Kimbrell officiating. Burial will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Foster died Sunday, May 27, 2012, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Born Sept. 13, 1929, in Hiawassee, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Bonnie Allen Underwood. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Wesley H. Foster.

Mrs. Foster was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family and giving to others. She also enjoyed yard selling, listening to gospel music and preaching.

Surviving are her son, Jerry Foster of Alto; sons and daughters-in-law, Gerald and Vickie Foster of Baldwin, Gary and Dorothy Foster of Toccoa and Dale and Barbara Foster of Mt. Airy; brother, Junior Underwood of Hiawassee; sisters, Bessie Gibson of Hiawassee and Reba Hicks of Clarkesville; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
