A private funeral service for Hazel Loudermilk LaCount, 71, of Mt. Airy, will be held at a later date.

Mrs. LaCount died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, at Habersham Medical Center.

Born June 24, 1941, in Habersham County, she was the daughter of the late James Walter Sr. and Lola Avans Loudermilk. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe M. LaCount; daughter, Cheryl Ann LaCount; and brother, James Walter Loudermilk Jr.

Mrs. LaCount was a homemaker, who enjoyed cooking, and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her son, Rodney LaCount of Mt. Airy; daughter and son-in-law, Dorleen and Keith Holland of Mt. Airy; sisters, Zebbie Ballew of Cornelia and Gertrude Williams of Commerce; grandson, Shane Poole; and great-grandchildren, Kirsten, Alanna and Bianca Poole.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Torch Children’s Building Fund, 800 Cannon Bridge Road, Demorest, GA 30535.
