Graveside services for Irene Bennett Mote, 88, of Demorest, were held at 20 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at Camp Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. James Lyons officiating.

Mrs. Mote died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012.

Born Jan. 25, 1924, in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Harvey Jones and Mary Lou Vina Brock Bennett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Mote.

Mrs. Mote was a retired employee of Scovill Manufacturing Company with more than 20 years of service. She was a member of Camp Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Barbara Mote and Danny and Judy Mote, both of Demorest; sister, Eva Ruth Cisson of Greenville, S.C.; and grandchildren, Martin Mote and his wife, Erica, and Corey Mote, both of Demorest.
