James ‘Jim’ Giesler

A memorial service for James “Jim” Giesler, 57, of LaGrange, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, at First Baptist Church on the Square, with Dr. Jody Alderman, Dr. Paul Baxter, the Rev. Wiley Carney and the Rev. Robbie Bailey officiating.

Mr. Giesler died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014, at Emory University Hospital.

Born Jan. 18, 1956, in Atlanta, he was the son of the late Garnett J. Giesler and Susan Morris Giesler.

He was currently attending the Three Life Church of LaGrange. Jim was employed with CVS Pharmacy and formerly with Corley’s Drugs.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Pamela Craft Giesler; son, Matthew and wife, Lauren Giesler of Franklin, Tenn.; daughter, Anna and husband, Thomas Sanders, of Villa Rica; two grandsons, Grady and Cooper Sanders; brother, Dr. Jay and wife, Linda Giesler; sister, Patricia Long; several nieces, nephews, many relatives and friends.

The gathering of family and friends will be from 6-8 p.m. today, Jan. 10, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Camp Glisson, North Georgia Conference Camp and Retreat, 690 Camp Glisson Road, Dahlonega, GA 30533, in memory of James Giesler.
