Jan ‘Ski’ Sudowski

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – A celebration of life for Jan “Ski” Sudowski, 73, will be held from 5-7 p.m. today, Dec. 20, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel, Conway, S.C.

Mr. Sudowski died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013, at Conway Medical Center.

Born Jan. 5, 1940, in Clarkesville, he was the son of the late John and Bessie Wooten Sudowski. In addition to his parents, Ski was preceded in death by a brother, Danny Sudowski.

He was U.S. Coast Guard veteran of Vietnam, serving his country for eight years. Ski was a lifelong salesman having been employed at Lowe’s Home Improvement and Addy Harbor Dodge. He was a Mason and Shriner, belonging to Lexington Lodge No. 152 AFM and Jamil Shrine. Ski loved sports and lettered in baseball during his college years. Most recently, he enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren participate in various sports.

Survivors include his wife, Cynthia J. Sudowski; one son, Kip Perry of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; four daughters, Janet Green of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., Nikkie DelSolia (Tom) of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Kim Sinclair (Randy) of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Jeanne Sudowski (Ed Wilson) of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; five grandchildren, Rachel Perry, Laura Sudowski, Brandon Sinclair, Hanna Green and Jaida Sinclair; and his loyal dog, Shadow.
