Funeral services for Jeannette Virginia Rudeseal, 80, of Alto, were held at 11 a.m. May 27, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel with Rev. Roy Rogers officiating.

Interment followed in Yonah Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Rudeseal died Friday, May 23, 2014 following an extended illness.

Mrs. Rudeseal was born Sept. 26, 1933 in Habersham County to the late Floyd Everett Pittman and the late Aldie Jane Zimmerman.

She was also preceded in death by her brother, Barnie Pittman. Mrs. Rudeseal was a member of B.C. Grant Baptist Church and AARP.

She was a homemaker. Mrs. Rudeseal was a very loving and dedicated military wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a loving caregiver to her husband. The children all agree she was the world’s greatest mom.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Rudeseal, Alto; daughter and son-in- law, Cynthia Jan and Scott Pierson, Panama City, Fla.; son and daughter-in-law, Jon Ira and Anne Rudeseal, Hampton; sons, Elton Lanier Rudeseal, Alto, Lynn Arthur Rudeseal, Alto, Bret Eric Rudeseal, Locust Grove; sister, Alaine Payne, Cornelia; 11 grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are in the care of Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, 1370 Industrial Blvd., Baldwin.
