Funeral services for John H. Crump, 74, of Baldwin, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, with the Rev. Jerry Stowe and the Rev. Scott Brown officiating.

Burial followed in Liberty Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, in Stephens County, with the Rev. Frank Sailers officiating.

Mr. Crump died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013.

Born Dec. 29, 1938, in Banks County, he was the son of the late Dock Fulton and Stella Fagan Crump. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Plumer Crump.

Mr. Crump was a member of Baldwin Baptist Church. He was a retired self-employed used car dealer for more than 50 years.

Survivors include his loving wife of 49 years, Hilda Sayer Crump of Baldwin; sons and daughters-in-law, Stan and Missy Crump of Baldwin, Randy and Amy Crump of Carnesville; sisters, Janice Thurmond of Mt. Airy, Barbara Dudley of Central, S.C., June Galloway of Mt. Airy; brother, Larry Crump of Goose Creek, S.C.; two grandchildren, Aaron and Jonathan Crump of Baldwin; several nieces and nephews.
