Funeral services for Keooudone Sinlapakone, 61, of Alto, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 17, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, with the monks from the Wat Lao Buddhist Temple and the leaders of the Lao Families Association of Habersham County officiating.

Mr. Sinlapakone died Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at his residence.

Born March 5, 1951, in Laos, he was a son of the late Van and Kuan Louonekhot Sinlapakone.

Mr. Sinlapakone was employed with Fieldale Farms Corp. as a mechanic where he had 22 years of dedicated service. Mr. Sinlapakone was a member of the Wat Lao Buddhist Temple.

Survivors include his wife, Bouavanh Thammavong of Alto; daughter, Kayelani Sinlapakone of Missouri; daughter and son-in-law, Bounpheng and David Phommyvong of Cornelia; son, Khammone Sinlapakone of North Carolina; son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Becky Reil of Cornelia; stepchildren, Joy Thammavong of Cornelia, and Janie Thammavong of Alto; and grandchildren, Tyris Sinlapakone, Andru Kinnarath, Dawson Phommyvong, Raiden Reil, Tupac Thammavong, Ronin Somchith and Briohny Somchith.
