Graveside services for Martha Frances Elkins Cobb, 88, of Cornelia, will be held at 1 p.m. today, Feb. 8, at Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Billy Burrell and the Rev. Larry Free officiating.

Mrs. Cobb died Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, at Habersham Home.

Born Jan. 22, 1924, in Thomas County, she was the daughter of the late Alvie Lealon and Grace Baker Elkins. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Marion Alexander Cobb; son, Michael Cobb; and brother, Alvie Lealon Elkins Jr.

Mrs. Cobb was a retired dietician with Stephens County School System with 15 years of service. She enjoyed sewing and cake decorating. She was a member of Hillside Baptist Church and also was active for 40 years in the Christian Missionary Alliance.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Lynn and Frank Wessinger of Dawsonville, Judy and Steve Mayer of Alto and Colleen and Ronnie Stewart of Clarkesville; sons and daughters-in-law, Marion Jr. and Jackie Cobb of Cumming and Keith and Betty Smith of Toccoa; grandchildren and spouses, Michelle and Mike Harris, Cheryle and Rusty Stevens, Marion Wessinger, Lee and Krista Estes, Jason Ayers and fiancée, Donna Whitt, and Joel and Leah Ayers; six stepgrandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
