Funeral services for Mary Frances King Kinsey, 66, of Alto, were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, with the Rev. Leon Carson and Cody Kelley officiating. Burial followed in Yonah Memorial Gardens.

Ms. Kinsey died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, at her residence following an extended illness.

Born Nov. 12, 1946, in Habersham County, she was the daughter of Max and Dorothy Thomas King of Alto. She also was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Jean King.

Ms. Kinsey was a member of Compassion Baptist Church in Carnesville. She retired early from Scovill Fastners Inc. due to her illness.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Hope and Greg Kelley and Sherry and Justin Savage, both of Alto; daughters, Hope Gilleland and Lilly Gilleland, both of Alto; sons and daughters-in-law, Shane and Amanda Hester of Cornelia, and Shawn and Lilly Hester of Oakwood; sisters, Margaret Tolbert of Lavonia, Ruth Evans of Hartwell, Grace Ledford of Clarkesville, Christine Martin of Alto, Mary Harbin of Hartwell, Anna Fowler of Clarkesville, Amanda Seabolt of Madison; brothers, William King, Dennis King, Jimmy King, Wesley King and David King, all of Alto, and Phil King of Carnesville; grandchildren, Cody Kelley, Kristin Cheek, Kayla Waters, Jackson Savage, Emily Savage, Seth Hester, Stephen Hester, Anissa Hester, Bradon Hester, Leanne Strickland, Nikki Hester, Shauna Arrowood and Veda Irvin; and six great-grandchildren.

She leaves behind an enormous circle of family and friends who will forever be touched by her undying spirit and courage. Our family is like a quilt, bits and pieces, joy and sorrow, stitched with love.
