Funeral services for Mary Ruth Crumley Smith, 90, of Lula, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, with the Rev. Phillip Gillespie and the Rev. Danny Lewallen officiating. Burial followed in Belton Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Smith died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013.

Born April 26, 1923, in Banks County, she was the daughter of the late William Nelson and Nora Taylor Crumley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Smith, and son, Edgar Smith.

Mrs. Smith was a member of Belton Baptist Church, and was a homemaker and retired seamstress.

Survivors include her sons, Royce Smith of Murrayville, Willard Smith of Baldwin, Joel Smith of Lula, Baxter Smith of Lula; sisters, Ethel Tucker of Fountain Inn, S.C., Ruby Jones of Spartanburg, S.C., Monteen Wiley of Chester, S.C.; brothers, William Crumley of Quenton, Ark., Charles Crumley of Whitmire, S.C., Steve Crumley of Union, S.C.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
