Norma Lee ‘Nana Suz’ Chastain

A memorial service for Norma Lee “Nana Suz” Chastain, 73, of Lula, was held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5, at the chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home with Bishop Kevin Magness officiating.

Mrs. Chastain died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012, at Habersham Medical Center.

Born Jan. 13, 1939, in Johnson City, Tenn., she was a daughter of the late Henry Aaron and Mary Lee White. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.B. “Pop” Turner, and a brother, Jerry White.

Mrs. Chastain was the owner of Nana Suz Consignment Store in Lula for many years and was of the Baptist Faith. She enjoyed listening to good Gospel music, helping others in need, and most of all spending time with her family.

Survivors include her daughter, Lynn Chastain Faulkner of Gainesville; son, Tony Chastain of Alto; granddaughter, Alexis Brianna Chastain of Gainesville; and a host of other family and friends.
