Funeral services for Ralph Cash, 63, of Cornelia, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, at the chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeff Appling and the Rev. Malcolm Cash officiating.

Mr. Cash died Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012 at his residence.

Born June 4, 1948, in Ravenna, Ohio, he was a son of the late William Arnold and Cora Mae Edwards Cash. In addition to his parents, Mr. Cash was also preceded in death by a daughter, Angie Cash; brothers, Bill and Roger Cash; and sister-in-law, Gloria Cash.

Mr. Cash was a member of Grove Level Baptist Church and was a retired softball coach. During his career he coached Little League baseball, basketball and soccer and was assistant softball coach for Piedmont College. In addition to coaching, Mr. Cash was also a furniture and cabinet maker for 22 years. Some of his hobbies included restoring antique muscle cars and golfing.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Sue Batson Cash of the home; son, Ralston Cash of Lakeland, Fla.; son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Tarah Cash of Flowery Branch; daughter and son-in-law, Megan and David Emig of Demorest; brother and sister-in-law, Ed and Lillian Cash of Clarkesville; brother, the Rev. Malcolm Cash of Suwanee; and sisters, Joyce Eddy of Clarkesville and Joni Day of Turnerville.

The family will receive friends, at the funeral home, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. today, Jan. 20.
