Funeral services for Rowe Truman Hart, 89, of Alto, were held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 18, at Yonah Congregational Holiness Church with the Rev. John Umberhant and the Rev. Lester Haynes officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery with the Rev. Charles Meckler officiating.

Mr. Hart died Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at Habersham Medical Center.

Born Nov. 1, 1923, in Banks County, he was a son of the late Will T. and Josephine Dodd Hart. In addition to his parents, he also was preceded in death by his brothers, Nathaniel, Archie and Lionel Hart; and sisters, Winnie Echols, Lucille Ferguson and Marcelle Hart.

Mr. Hart was retired as a carpenter from Worley Construction and was of the Holiness faith. In his spare time, he enjoyed cattle farming.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Lurlene Brady Hart; daughter, Joan Hart Hix; brothers, Grady Hart of Alto and Kenneth Hart of Cornelia; and sisters, Ruth Underwood of Alto and Hazel Crumley of Forest Park.
