Funeral services for Ruth McPeck Crow, 94, of Dalton, and formerly of Cornelia, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, at First Baptist Church of Cornelia, with Dr. Eric Spivey officiating. Burial will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Crow died Monday, Sept. 24, 2012.

Born July 6, 1918, in Alto, she was the daughter of the late Herbert E. and Ola Bond McPeck. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Crow. Mrs. Crow received her bachelor’s degree from Piedmont College and her master’s degree from the University of Georgia. She was a retired school teacher from Cornelia Elementary School with 29 years of service. Mrs. Crow was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority and was also past president. She was a member of the Three Arts Club and WMU. Mrs. Crow was a member of First Baptist Church of Cornelia for more than 60 years.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Mac and Margaret Puckett Crow of Dalton; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:45 p.m., prior to the funeral service, on Thursday, Sept. 27, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin.

Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Cornelia, P.O. Box 96, Cornelia, GA 30531.
