Graveside services for Thelma L. Turk Berg, 84, of Demorest, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 1, at the VFW Cemetery with Carter Miller officiating.

Mrs. Berg died Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at Habersham Medical Center.

Born Feb. 26, 1928, in Apopka, Fla., she was the daughter of the late William Guy Turk II and Katie Wilson Turk. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Albert Edward Berg; son, Charles Berg; sisters, Jeanette Hodges, Mildred Adams, and Juanita Brakebill; and brother, William Guy Turk III.

Mrs. Berg was a member of Central Alliance C&MA. In addition to being a very dedicated homemaker, she was a retired library assistant in Orange County, Fla.

Survivors include her daughter, Debbie Findley of Demorest; daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Steve Petrakos of Demorest; grandchildren, Tim Findley, Robin Findley, Pamela Dalton, Jennifer Burris, Stephanie Pisto, and David Petrakos; and five great-grandchildren.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 a.m. before the service on Friday at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest.
