Funeral services for Vickie Simmons, 39, of Cornelia, were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 6, at Bethesda Fellowship Congregational Holiness Church with the Rev. John Graham and the Rev. Johnny Johnson officiating. Burial followed in Baldwin City Cemetery, with the Rev. Clarence Reynolds and the Rev. Lester Haynes officiating.

Ms. Simmons died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, following an extended illness.

Vickie was born May 25, 1973, in Commerce. She was preceded in death by grandparents, James and Fannie Simmons, and Evelyn Gibbs; and a nephew, Davey Reese.

Vickie attended Bethesda Fellowship Congregational Holiness Church.

Survivors include his parents, David M. and Joyce Gibbs Simmons of Cornelia; sisters and brothers-in-law, Dale and Bill Reese of Cornelia, and Tonya Jean and Chris Carroll of Reynolds; and nephew, Michael Reese, of the home.
