Toccoa man killed in wreck, twin brother seriously injured

A Toccoa man was killed and his twin brother, of Mt. Airy, seriously injured in an early morning two-vehicle wreck in Madison County near Danielsville. According to Tracey Watson, a spokesperson for the Georgia Department of Public Safety, at approximately 7:20 a.m. Friday morning, Roy O'Barr, 25, of Toccoa, driving a Ford Fairlane, with his brother, Nathan O'Barr, 25 of Mt. Airy, was traveling south on Friendship Church Road when a Mitsubishi Montero Sport, traveling north failed to maintain its lane, crossed the center lane and struck the Ford head on. Roy O'Barr died at the scene and Nathan O'Barr was flown to Atlanta Medical Center for treatment. The crash is under investigation by the GSP Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team. Roy O'Barr was an employee of The Northeast Georgian. -Staff reports
