Funeral services for Long Vongsydanone, 54, of Cornelia, will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 16, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, with monks from the Wat Lao Buddhist Temple and the leaders of the Lao Families of Habersham County officiating.

Mrs. Vongsydanone died Thursday, Oct. 6, at her residence, following an extended illness.

Born March 1, 1957, in Muang Kong, Laos, she was the daughter of Nouk Khammanh of Muang Kong, Laos, and the late Kao Khammanh. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her sister, Soan Khammanh.

Mrs. Vongsydanone was employed with the Fieldale Farms Corporation and a member of the Wat Lao Buddhist Temple.

Survivors, in addition to her father, include her husband, Pheng Vongsydanone of Cornelia; sons, Bounthanom Vongsydanone, Tracy Vongsydanone and None Vongsydanone, all of Cornelia; sister, Boun Souvannasane of Rockford, Ill.; brothers, Yout Khammanh of Laos and Mok Thonthangehith of Rockford, Ill.; and two grandchildren, Jadlynn Xaykosy and Devin Xaykosy.

The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel.
