Funeral services for Maudie Barrett Moss, 91, of Clarkesville, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 30, at Hillside Memorial Chapel with Dr. Keith Allison and the Rev. Austin Kelley officiating. Burial followed in Victory Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Moss died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012.

Born Dec. 9, 1920, in Towns County, she was the daughter of the late Oren and Ora Burch Barrett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Hyman Moss; grandsons, Jacky Taylor and Nathan Coker; brothers, Clarence, Wade and Boyd Barrett; and sisters, Ruth Barrett and Minnie Sims. Mrs. Moss was the last member of her immediate family.

Mrs. Moss was a homemaker and a member of Friendly Mission Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Ora Lee Taylor of Clarkesville; sons, James Moss of Cleveland and Frank Moss of Clarkesville; son and daughter-in-law, David and Becky Moss of Demorest; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
