Funeral services for Lucile Green McCrackin, 79, of Demorest, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, at the chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home. Burial followed in Bethel Temple Congregational Holiness Church cemetery.

Mrs. McCrackin died Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012, at her residence.

A lifelong resident of Habersham County, she was born April 5, 1932, to the late Dean H. Sr. and Ella Williams Green. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sisters, Estelle Tench, Velma Chapman, Rosetta Lumpkin and Ethel Norris; and brothers, Dean H. Green Jr. and Thomas Green.

Mrs. McCrackin worked in the textile industry for both Habersham Mills and Mt. Vernon Mills. She was of the Holiness faith and enjoyed crocheting, cooking, sewing, reading and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include her son, Perry McCrackin of Danielsville; and brother, Claude Green of Baldwin.
