Funeral services for Minnie Lee Powers Addis, 94, of Cornelia, will be held at 2 p.m. today, March 7, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, with the Rev. Johnny Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Habersham Cemetery.

Mrs. Addis died Sunday, March 4, 2012, at The Oaks at Scenic View in Baldwin.

Born Feb. 13, 1918, in Habersham County, she was the daughter of the late Dee and Estelle Free Powers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Addis; and her son, Virgil Addis Jr.

Mrs. Addis was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Danny Umberhandt of Baldwin; son, Kenneth Addis; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Habersham Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 521, Clarkesville, GA 30523.
