Funeral services for Gail Dalton Simmemon, 63, of Alto, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 5, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, with the Rev. Danny O’Kelly and the Rev. John Dubois officiating. Burial will be in Baldwin City Cemetery.

Mrs. Simmemon died Monday, April 2, 2012, at her residence.

Born Aug. 13, 1948, in Jackson County, she was a daughter of the late Isaac and Nellie Parker Dalton. She also was preceded in death by her brother, Jesse Parker, and her sister, Loretta Dalton.

Mrs. Simmemon was a retired employee of Ethicon Medical Products Inc. with 10 years of service. She was of the Holiness faith.

Survivors include her husband, Winston “Joy” Simmemon of Alto; sons and daughters-in-law, Truett and Rochelle Simmemon and Chad and Laura Simmemon, both of Alto; sisters, Dorothy Key of Mt. Airy, and Evelyn Dalton of Alto; and grandchildren, Dedra, Shelby, Makayla and Savannah Simmemon.

The family will receive friends today, April 4, at the residence, 219 Simmemon Road, Alto. The body will be at the residence. Flowers are accepted and the family requests all flowers be delivered to the residence.
