Mrs. Wiley went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Born May 13, 1926, in Habersham County, she was a daughter of the late Oscar and Ophelia Woodall Chastain. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Fisher Wiley; infant son, Lee Wiley; brothers, Vance, J.A. and Amos Chastain; and a great-grandson, Trevor Goodson.
Mrs. Wiley was a cook for many years at the Tastee Freez and also at the Stew and Que Restaurant, where she was well known for her famous biscuits. She was a member of B.C. Grant Baptist Church. Mrs. Wiley was a very loving mother, grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include her children, Todd and Kay Wiley of Cleveland, Dolores and Charles Irvin of Demorest; grandchildren, Sharon and Randy Goodson of Alto, Jeff and Carol Irvin, Laura and David Waters, Eric and Heather Welborn, all of Clarkesville; great-grandchildren, Tanner Goodson, Taylor Goodson, Tyler and Whitney Goodson, Nathan and Kelly Shewbert, Christian Waters, Jessica Waters, Katie Welborn, Hadley Welborn, Ty Loggins, and Taylor Loggins; great-great-grandson, Bryson Shewbert; life-long special friend, Mary Wilson of Cornelia; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
