Funeral services for Willie Ray “Bill” Glore, 79, of Cornelia, are scheduled for 2 p.m., today, Sept. 21 at the Antioch Baptist Church with the Rev. Kenneth Franklin and Dr. Don Samples officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with the Rev. Brian Stephens officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Grant Reeves V.F.W. Post # 7720, American Legion Post # 84, Rabun County D.A.V. Chapter # 15, and the Georgia National Guard.

Mr. Glore died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Born in Troup County on Feb. 24, 1933, he was a son of the late Rev. E.W. and Ollie Queen Glore. Mr. Glore was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict and worked in the textile industry for many years retiring from Leshner Manufacturing as an industrial engineer. He enjoyed spending time with family and was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sons, Dennis Ray Glore, Joseph Michael Glore; and a great-granddaughter, Mallory Faye Ballew.

Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Joyce Franklin Glore; son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Lisa Glore, all of Cornelia; daughter, Barbara Hargis; daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Stephen Frady, all of Mt. Airy; brothers, Robert S. “Bob” Glore, Toccoa, Frank Glore, Mt. Airy; sister, Jane Glore Sewell, Stockbridge; grandchildren, Kristy and Phillip Ballew, Joshua Glore, Jacob Glore, Joseph A. Glore, Timothy Nathaniel Glore, Seth Frady, Bethany Frady, Sarah Frady, and six great-grandchildren.

Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to the Gideons International, Habersham South Camp, P.O. Box 195, Baldwin, GA 30511.
