Family will receive friends for a “Celebration of Julia’s Life” from 1-5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at 2012 Richmond Ave., Augusta.
Born Dec. 28, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Mary Jean and Maj. William A. Branson. She was was preceded in death by her husband, Danny K. Darnell.
Julia was a dental hygienist by profession, practicing with Dr. Albert Rabin and staff for years. In 1983, she studied at CS Mott in Flint, Mich., with an associate’s degree, and was currently continuing her education at Augusta State University. She was a gifted artist with the love and passion of pottery, wind chimes, gardening and so much more. Her beautiful creations are distributed in the homes and gardens of countless friends and family members.
Julia opened her life and home to many who needed shelter, food and love. She had an impact on all she came into contact with. We will never forget her smile, laugh, voice, touch, compassion and enthusiasm for life, family and friends.
Survivors include her loving sons, Daniel Darnell (Elvia) and Les Branson (Lisa); brothers and sisters-in-law, John (Cynthia), Dell (Dee) and Billy, of Clarkesville, and AL (Kathy) of North Augusta, S.C.; and grandchildren, Breana, Joshua, Maya, Patricia, Murphy and Hunter; a host of nieces and nephews, as well as other relatives and friends.
