Funeral services for Chris McCurry, 40, of Baldwin, are scheduled for 2 p.m. today, Nov. 30, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, with the Rev. Lavay McCullough and the Rev. Telford Tanksley officiating. Burial will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.

Mr. McCurry died Monday, Nov. 26, 2012.

Born Jan. 16, 1972, in Habersham County, he was the son of Michael D. and Wanda Tanksley McCurry of Clarkesville. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charlie and Estelle Tanksley and Jack and Betty McCurry.

Chris was a United States Marine Corps veteran and a member of Leatherwood Baptist Church. He was the owner of McCurry Welding Company.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife, Tracy Franklin McCurry of Baldwin; daughter, Taylor McCurry of Baldwin; and brother, Greg McCurry of Demorest.
