Funeral services for Gladys Dalton Poole, 85, of Baldwin, are scheduled for 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 20, at Line Baptist Church with Rev. Garry Garrison, Rev. Harold Ledford and Rev. Kenneth McEntire officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Poole died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012 at Habersham Medical Center.

Mrs. Poole was born on Jan. 14, 1927, in Banks County, the daughter of the late Archie Bishop and Mary Jane Brock Dalton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Poole; sisters, Ethel Morris and Agnes Poole; and brothers, Archie Lee Dalton, Tom E. Dalton, and Wilton Dalton.

Mrs. Poole was a retired seamstress from Carwood Manufacturing Company with 42 years of service. She enjoyed cooking pies to give away, singing, and working in her garden. Mrs. Poole was a member of Line Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sister, Edna Gary, Cornelia and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., today, Wednesday, Dec. 19 at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin.
