Mrs. Luthi died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at a private care facility.
Born Dec. 3, 1919, in Habersham County, she was the daughter of the late Poke Osborn and Molly York Pruitt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Henry Clyde Free, and the widow of her second husband, Byron Luthi; sons, Eddie and Crawford Free; brothers, Alvin and Hilliard Pruitt, sisters, Jessie Aderholdt, Bessie Trotter, Bernice Watts, and Phillip Moore; and a grandson, Shannon Free.
Mrs. Luthi was a homemaker.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Annette Free of Alto; sisters-in-law, Lillian Pruitt of Mt. Airy, and Mary Pruitt of Dalton; special first cousin, Betty Gray of Cornelia; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was the last of her immediate family.
