Funeral services for Elder Marvin Loudermilk, 76, of Mt. Airy, are scheduled for 11 a.m. today, March 13, at Faith Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Charles Chapman and Elder Kerry Lathrop officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Elder Loudermilk died Sunday, March 10, 2013.

Born July 26, 1936, in Habersham County, he was the son of the late Ben L. and Flornett Pless Loudermilk.

He was a retired employee of Mt. Vernon Mills with 16 years of service. Elder Loudermilk labored in the ministry from 1960 until his death. He was a member of Faith Primitive Baptist Church and was pastor there from 1991 to 2012.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Faye Murphy Loudermilk of Mt. Airy; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Vince Scafiti of Tiger; sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Betty Loudermilk of Mt. Airy, Ronnie and Jennifer Loudermilk of Lula, and David and Sandy Loudermilk of Mt. Airy; sisters, Virginia Riggins of Mt. Airy, Annie Sellers of Mt. Airy, Shirley Potts of Cornelia, and Linda Hren of Roswell; brothers, Lewis Loudermilk and Fermon Loudermilk, both of Mt. Airy; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
