Funeral services for Larry Stewart, 65, of Demorest, are scheduled for 11 a.m. today, April 17, at the chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home with the Rev. Ted Armour and the Rev. Hillman Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Harmony Baptist Church cemetery with full military honors provided by Grant Reeves VFW Post No. 7720, Habersham County American Legion Post No. 84, Rabun County DAV Chapter No. 15 and the Georgia National Guard.

Mr. Stewart died Monday, April 15, 2013, at Habersham Medical Center.

Born Aug. 16, 1947, in Madison, he was a son of the late Frank and Ola House Stewart.

Mr. Stewart had worked with Stub Church Paving and was of the Baptist faith. He was also a U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Cathy Brady Stewart of Demorest; daughter and son-in-law, Cassie and Dennis Keller of Alto; sons and daughters-in-law, Frankie and Donna Stewart of Alto, Tim and Kim Stewart of Toccoa, and Benji and Felicia Stewart of Baldwin; 13 special grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Danny and Dennis Stewart, both of Watkinsville; sisters, Gail Martin of Bethlehem, and Patsy Stewart of Athens; several nieces and nephews.
