Funeral services for Nancy Elizabeth Edenfield, 82, of Alto, were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 23, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, with the Rev. John Graham officiating.

Mrs. Edenfield died Monday, May 20, 2013, at a local care facility following an extended illness.

Born July 10, 1930, in Cleveland, she was the daughter of the late James Wesley and Evie Elizabeth Moose Davis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Lillie Mae Peters, and brothers, Arvil, Claude and Homer Davis.

Mrs. Edenfield was a member of Bethesda Fellowship Congregational Holiness Church. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her loving husband, the Rev. William D. Edenfield of Alto; daughters, Betty Popadics, Peggy Janet Goff, Rebecca Ann Eggert and Sybil Abernathy; sons, Stanley Taylor, Anthony Waldon, Robert Lee Jenkins, Justin Edenfield and Richard Edenfield; several daughters-in-law and sons-in-law; brother, J.B. Davis; 17 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
