Graveside services for Margaret H. MacGregor, 80, of Cornelia, were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 2, at Ramsey Creek Preserve in Westminster, S.C., with the Rev. James A. Clarke officiating.

Ms. MacGregor died Wednesday, May 29, 2013.

Born Oct. 31, 1932, in Halifax County, N.C., she was the daughter of the late John David and Mabel Jordan Hazelwood. She was also preceded in death by her son, Sherwood Reed Jenkins III.

Ms. MacGregor received her master’s degree in Nursing and Anthropology from the University of Virginia. She was a professor of Psychiatric Nursing at Piedmont College. Ms. MacGregor was of the Episcopalian faith.

Survivors include her sister, Betty Hazelwood Spence of Weldon, N.C.; daughter, Peggy Jenkins Oberholzer, and family, of Duxbury, Mass.; cousin, Doris Warren Lyles of Weldon, N.C.; and many nieces and nephews.
