Funeral services for Bob Mabry, 91, of Baldwin, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, with the Rev. Tim House officiating. Burial followed in Lane Family Cemetery with full military honors provided by the United States Navy Color Guard, Grant Reeves VFW Post No. 7720, Habersham County American Legion Post No. 84 and Rabun County DAV Chapter No. 15.

Mr. Mabry died Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013.

Born Sept. 6, 1922, in Franklin County, he was the son of the late Walter and Nancy King Mabry. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Sam Mabry and James Mabry; and sisters, Clio Mabry and Ruth Mabry. Mr. Mabry was the last member of his immediate family.

Mr. Mabry was a United States Navy veteran, serving in World War II. He was a retired director of accounting for the Southern Railway System, with 42 years of service. Mr. Mabry was a member of Gaines Chapel United Methodist Church, and a member of the Masons, Scottish Rite and Shriners.

Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Priscilla Payne Mabry of Baldwin; and a number of nieces and nephews.
