Funeral services for Darlene Roberts Hill, 79, of Demorest, were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, at the chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home with Chaplain John Reeser officiating. Burial followed the service in Fairfield Baptist Church cemetery.

Mrs. Hill died Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013.

Born Sept. 20, 1934, in Habersham County, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Flossie Mae Lane Roberts. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter Thomas Hill.

Mrs. Hill was retired from Piedmont Automotive and attended Cool Springs United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Jeanene and Clark Sutton of Clarkesville; grandchildren and spouses, Melissa and McCray Filiatreau of Columbus, Justin and Molly Sutton of Clarkesville; granddaughters, Lindsey and Sydney Sutton of Clarkesville; three great-grandchildren, Annalise, Cadence and Marylane Filiatreau; sisters and brothers-in-law, Merle and Lewis Harper and Lane and Terry Trotter, all of Demorest; brother and sister-in-law, Ted and Shirley Roberts of Clarkesville.
