Funeral services for Louise Gosnell Hallford, 90, of Clarkesville will be held at 2 p.m. today, Oct. 25, at Bethlehem Baptist Church with the Rev. Kenneth McEntire, the Rev. Furman Lewis and the Rev. Tommy Stowe officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Hallford died Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013, following a period of declining health.

Born June 18, 1923, in Habersham County, she was the daughter of the late Emory Howard and Rosie Maude Smith Gosnell. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hallford is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence “Poon” Hallford; sister and brother-in-law, Katheryn and Ray McClain; nephew, Roy McClain; sisters-in-law, Wilma Hallford and Grace Hallford; brothers-in-law and their wives, Willie and Sarah Hallford and Jimmy and Majell Hallford; sister-in-law and her husband, Lucille and Jake Church; and brothers-in-law, Jerry Hallford, Edward Hallford and Hughie Hallford.

She was retired from Scovill Fasteners Inc., where she worked in quality control. Mrs. Hallford was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church where she helped in the after-school and nursery programs. She had also been a Sunday School teacher and she enjoyed going on trips with the senior adults.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Rosalie and Sherril Fry of Clarkesville; granddaughter, Mary Fry of Clarkesville; grandson and wife, George and Susanne Fry of Clarkesville; grandsons, Randall Fry of Clarkesville and Cole Fry of Carrollton; great-granddaughters, Jacey Fry and Autumn Fry of Clarkesville; sister and brother-in-law, Mauderie and Roy McIntyre of Clarkesville; brother-in-law and wife, Raymond and Lorain Hallford of Demorest; and sisters-in-law, Ping Hallford, Mildred Hallford and Carolyn Hallford, all of Demorest; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Food-2-Kids Ministry, c/o Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 510 Hollywood Hill Road, Clarkesville, GA 30523.
