Funeral services for Rex Stanley Coleman, 59, of Mt. Airy, are scheduled for 2 p.m. today, Nov. 8, 2013, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, with the Rev. Chris Anderson and Bishop Ronald Wilson officiating.

Mr. Coleman died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2013.

Born July 4, 1954, in Toccoa, he was the son of the late Claude Lamar and Lillian Payne Coleman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Janice Green, and brother, Ronnie Coleman.

Mr. Coleman was a retired engineer with Lockheed Martin with 33 years of service. He was a member of Bethel Temple Congregational Holiness Church.

Survivors include his loving wife of 41 years, Marsha Merck Coleman of Mt. Airy; son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Tina Coleman of Mt. Airy; son, Ben Coleman of Mt. Airy; sisters, Ann Elrod of Clarkesville and Martha Chastain of Mt. Airy; brothers, Lamar Coleman of Cornelia and Jimmy Coleman of Mt. Airy; and four grandchildren.
