Funeral services for William Henry “Hutch” Hutchinson, 74, of Demorest, were held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Stephens officiating. Full military honors were provided by Grant Reeves VFW Post No. 7720, Habersham County American Legion Post No. 84, Rabun County DAV Chapter No. 15 and the Georgia National Guard.

Mr. Hutchingson died Nov. 14, 2013, at his residence.

Born July 18, 1939, in Evansville, Ind., he was the son of the late Henry Dalton and Alice London Hutchinson. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Darlene Kazakos Hutchinson; previous wife, Shirley Ann Hutchinson; and infant daughter, Kimberly Dawn Hutchinson.

He was self-employed, having owned and operated The Ultimate Pro Wax Co. He was of the Christian faith, enjoyed fishing, NASCAR and was also an avid University of Florida Gators fan. Mr. Hutchinson served his country proudly in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Conflict.

Surviving are his children, Michael Hutchinson, Sheila and Chris Williams and Starr and Chase Williamson, all of Jacksonville, Fla., Wendy Hoover of Newnan, Chad and Tara Hutchinson of Demorest, and Brandy and Joe Lee of Sherrills Ford, N.C.; sister and brother-in-law, Faye and Tim Seals of Athens; grandchildren, Megan Hutchinson, Abby Hutchinson, Erica, Kellie and Ryan Lee, Erika and Aaron Williamson, Johnathon, Jessica and Rylee Hoover; great-grandson, Jaxon Lemons.
