Funeral services for Robert “Bob” Lee House, Jr, 58, of Mt. Airy were held at 3 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 26, from the First Presbyterian Church in Cornelia. Rev. Blaine Walker and Dr. James Oudom officiated with interment following the service in Hillside Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. House died Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013 at his residence.

Born in Richmond, Virginia on March 10, 1955 Mr. House was the son of the late Robert L. and Edith Chumney House. Mr. House was a United States Army Veteran having served in Germany during the Vietnam Era. He was a lifelong musician and worked as an audio technician for 20 years. Mr. House was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Cornelia where he also enjoyed playing drums with the praise band.

Survivors include his wife Nancy Bush House of Mt. Airy; daughter and son-in-law Megan H. and Brent Gates of Cornelia; son and daughter-in-law Robert Lee House III and Rebecca Ann House of Mt. Airy; son Charles Anderson House of Mt. Airy; brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Dona Wright Sr. of Richmond, Va.; sister and brother-in-law Melissa “Missy” and Rick Gorskie of Austin, Texas, as well as seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 165, Cornelia, GA 30531.
