Graveside services for J.T. Lindsey, 82, of Cornelia, are scheduled for 2 p.m. today, Dec. 11, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Lloyd Free officiating. All friends and family should meet at the cemetery by 1:45 p.m.

Mr. Lindsey died Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013.

Born Nov. 25, 1931, in Nashville, Ga., he was the son of the late John Thomas and Sallie McNabb Lindsey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Correne Murphy Lindsey.

He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. Mr. Lindsey was a United States Air Force veteran, having served in the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include his daughters, Cheryl Hatos of Roswell and Carol Gerrin of Savannah; sister, Anne Alexander of Roswell; and two grandchildren.
