Funeral services for Daisy Lorette Ivester Stonecypher, 102, of Clarkesville, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 1, at Hills Crossing Baptist Church with the Rev. Walter Singletary and Linda Harris officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Stonecypher died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014.

Born Aug. 28, 1911, in Habersham County, she was the daughter of the late Judge “Bud” Henry and Fannie Franklin Ivester. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cline Stonecypher; brothers, Dan, Pink and Otis Ivester; sisters, Sally Benfield, Lizzie Lacy, Ethel Littleton and Irene Grant; grandson, Mike Reed; and great-granddaughter, Lauren Howard.

Mrs. Stonecypher was the oldest member of Hills Crossing Baptist Church and she was the last member of her immediate family.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her daughter, Edith Gailey of Alto; grandchildren, Angie Irvin, Dean Smith, Tammy Poole and Kim Hulsey; as well as 13 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. today, Feb. 28.
