Funeral services for William Ralph Wright, 86, of Cornelia, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, at the chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home with the Rev. Scott Ledbetter officiating. Burial followed in Enon Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Wright died Sunday, April 27, 2014.

Born Dec. 18, 1927, in Habersham County, he was a son of the late John Newton Wright and Mary Etta Ivie Wright. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Marjorie Nix Wright; sister, Lynette Wiley, as well as an infant sister; granddaughter, Terri Denise Wright; and great-granddaughter, Hope Christian.

Mr. Wright was a retired plant manager with Shur Gain Feeds in Cartersville, and was of the Pentecostal faith. He was mechanically inclined and enjoyed tinkering.

Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, William Michael and Carolyn Wright of Cornelia, and John Mark and Lisa Wright of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Henry Higgins of Woodstock; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Enon Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 7321 Old Cornelia Highway, Alto, GA 30510.
