Funeral services for Exie Nelms Burrell Loudermilk, 77, of Cornelia, are scheduled for 2 p.m. today, June 4, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, with the Rev. Billy Burrell and Laura Jane Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in Clarkesville City Cemetery.

Mrs. Loudermilk died Sunday, June 1, 2014.

Born Feb. 12, 1937, in White County, she was a daughter of the late James Richard and Florence Shelnut Nelms. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Herbert “Hub” Burrell and Carl F. Loudermilk; brother, Bobby Lee Nelms; stepdaughter, Maxine McDuffie; grandson, John A. Harrison; and great-grandson, Christopher Perry.

Mrs. Loudermilk was a member of Chopped Oak Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Jackie Burrell of Cornelia, Doug and Brenda Burrell of Baldwin; son, Ronnie Burrell of Dawsonville; stepdaughters and sons-in-law, Laura Jane and Ronnie Harrison of Eastanollee, Wilma and Roger Ansley of Cornelia; stepsons and daughters-in-law, Herbert and Cathy Burrell of Lavonia, Carl and Valarie Loudermilk Jr. of Demorest, Lamar and Amanda Loudermilk of Mt. Airy, David and Glenda Loudermilk of Mt. Airy; sisters, Annie (Ann) Burrell of Flowery Branch, Rose Sutton of Demorest; sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Harrison Collins of Demorest; 24 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

And always remember, Mom “loves you with all of her heart.” Those were her last words every night to her husbands and children. Your sweet smile and laugh will be missed by all! “We love you, Mom, with all our hearts.”
